Stickies is a lightweight little programme that can be used for putting notes on your desktop. The notes can have alarms, can be sent over a network to friends or sent by email. They can be hidden and told to show up at a certain date and time. The sticky notes can be placed anywhere on your screen and you can chose to have them always on top. If left at the bottom a single click on the tray icon will bring them to the top temporarily. Stickies will not be lost when you reboot your computer.

Stickies are fully customizable either by changing the fonts and colours or you can grab a whole new skin off the net. In my screenshots I have the glitch theme installed. Themes can be downloaded from the Sticky's site above. To see the default look check out the snapfiles link at the top of this page. Below is a screenshot of what you see when you right click on the stickies icon in the system tray.

I have made 7 stickies each colour coded with the titles being each day of the week. In each I write any upcoming things I need to do on a set day. All are "rolled up" so that only their title bar can be seen and then each evening I unroll the next day's sticky.
